Snowmobiling

The day after Christmas the entire Robert's family packed the family up and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Roberts cabin on snowmobiles. Abbi and I chose to sit this one out since she had been sick. I loved this picture of Warner and his grandpa. I picture Ryan doing this with our grand kids someday. The Roberts grew up snowmobiling and have so many fond memories of it. As always they all had a good time. Ryan said it was so cold that when he would take his gloves off to defrost his helmet his gloves were completely frozen when he went to put them back on. Guess I'm glad that Abbi and I didn't go.

Warner's Birthday party

Warner was so excited about his Birthday cake he even stepped in it. He wanted a Nemo cake and this is what I came up with, a cake from Costco. He was proud of it and called it his Nemo cake.
Awaiting for his surprise from mom and dad.

Tada....it's the spiderman bike he's been riding around Wal Mart for the last three months. If you notice he didn't notice the bike sitting in front of his face at first.

Here's Warner with his new 3+ size helmet. For most three year old this helmet would work, but for Warner it didn't quite do the job. His head has always been off the charts, but we figured he had grown into it by now. We had to go back and by a helmet for a 8 year old.

Christmas Joy

In a nut shell Christmas was great as always. This is the first year since my mom passed away that my sisters and their families all spent Christmas Eve and morning at my parents house. I'm not sure why we haven't been doing it, but I'm glad we did it this year. It makes me remember all my wonderful years as a child. We all got what we wanted for Christmas and then some. Most importantly we were able to reflect on the birth of our Savior during the season. What a wonderful time of year it is. Here are pictures of the new pj's, Christmas morning, Landon's letter to Santa asking for forgiveness because we didn't have cookies only graham crackers, and a bunch of Wii playing. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Happy Birthday Warner Bug!

It's hard for me to believe that three years have flown by. Today is Warner's third birthday. I remember back to the day I was pregnant with him, and the anticipation for his arrival. I didn't care how close it was to Christmas I was ready for this baby to come. We went to the hospital on the 27th to get started. I was beginning to have contractions without getting started. I finally was able to get my epidural around 2 or 3 in the morning. About a hour later the Dr. came in to let me know that this baby was in danger and at that point they needed to get him out. His heart rate would go down with the contractions and not come back up. Once we agreed to the c-section the room turned into total madness. Dr.'s and nurses running around. I was completely fine until they all started running and then I got worried. Of course this wasn't the way I had planned child birth. Needless to say they got him out safe and sound. The cord had been wrapped around his neck. We are so grateful for Warner and ALL his ENERGY! He is a blessing to our home and we love you so much!!!

Forth and final post of the day

A couple of weeks ago Peggy (Ryan's mom) received this bouquet of it's a boy and it's a girl balloons at the family history center. There was a card with it that said Congratulations your going to be a grandma again????? Who could it be? She starts calling all of us. First it was Lynzie who denies it. Then she calls me and what is she thinking, Abbi is only 8 months old? So then she goes on to call Denise who can't have kids anymore and everyone is denying it. I was starting to feel sick for her that she might be thinking it was Ty who isn't married so I called to confess that is was me. Yes it is me who is pregnant. I can't believe it myself. This was not our plan to have baby number three so soon, but we couldn't be more excited. How can you be mad right? Baby three should be here some time the end of July which means baby and Abbi will be 16 months apart. YIKES!!! and YEAH!!!

Santa brings a present

Every Christmas my sister in law Denice has a kids Christmas party where Santa comes and brings the kids a present. Here is Abbi's conversation with Santa.

Santa "What would you like for Christmas"?
Abbi " To get off your lap!!"

Warner's conversation with Santa

Santa "What would you like for Christmas?"
Warner "My two front teeth to wish you Merry Christmas" (This is the song he sings at singing....I'm not sure he understands if he tells Santa that he wants a bike or something he might actually get it). Santa might get off easy this year!

Temple Square

Monday the 8th....My niece Emree had a concert at Temple Square so I loaded up the mini van, and headed to the big city with the kids. Warner hadn't been feeling well and was wanting me to carry him a lot, but once he found the snow he was a new person. Here we are riding Trax. Warner thought it was so much fun riding on a train.

Mr. independent walking to the concert we were late but he was still determined to walk and carry the umbrella.

Abbi and Griffen enduring the cold beautiful lights. Griffen wasn't always this content to just sit in the stroller. Abbi on the other hand looked just like this the entire time, even when she was awake. I'm not sure if she couldn't move from all the clothes on or what. What a great trip it was. I'm glad my sister guilted me into coming. It was a trip well worth it :) We can't wait to do it all over again this weekend with the Roberts family.

Warner makes the paper!

Tammy Okerlund, left, coaches Warner Roberts in singing “All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth,” during the Home for the Holidays celebration in Salina Saturday afternoon. Warner is the 2-year-old son of Ryan and Charlyn Roberts, a grandson of Peggy and Steve Roberts, and a great-grandson of Evelyn Roberts, all Salina.

Thanksgiving weekend highlights!

This year we spent Thanksgiving in Salina with the Roberts family. Lots of yummy food, great company, and a fun game of BINGO. This is Ryan's aunts dog that Warner and Abbi both fell in love with. I think the dog was their highlight of the day. I just love the Thanksgiving holiday.

After Thanksgiving festivities we headed up to Kristie's house so we could be part of the mad shopping on black Friday. Ryan LOVES this day. Sorry there were no pictures, but we taking this shopping serious so there was no time to stop and say cheese. We started at 4 in the morning. We are crazy just like the rest of the world. But hey, who can pass up a good deal!

On Saturday we did our annual Christmas tree hunt. Everyone was making fun of Warner calling him Ralphy because he was so bundled up. Once they got up higher in the mountain everyone else was wishing they were Ralphy and dressed a little bit warmer. Abbi and I stayed home this year. I have had this series of hives. If you want to get a good picture of what I have looked like just picture Hitch when he ate the fish and swelled up. My hives went away for a couple of days, but unfortunately flared up on the tree hunt :( I love this tradition of the Roberts family.

Warner had his first singing performance on Saturday night. Basically Warner looked like this the entire song. He is the youngest in his group and was SCARED to death. I kept waiting for him to jump off the stage. When he had his solo he just stood there. Finally we heard him sing Two Front Teeth, but that's all that came out of his mouth. What a cute kid. I think he'll catch on and sing his heart out next time ;)

The final event of the weekend was Warner and Abbi's first sighting of Santa!!! It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

Has Warner had his picture taken to much?

It's been about a month ago, but I don't ever want to forget Warner's first trip to the dentist. I hadn't planned on taking him yet, but after a couple of my cousins with kids close to Warner's age had gone, and had a couple of cavities I thought it was time to go.

So we get there and Warner gets to ride in the chair which he thinks is pretty neat. Then they show him the tools to clean his teeth with. He played around with them in his mouth. They just like to get the kids comfortable with coming to the dentist, so they let them play with some of the tools. When it came time to do his X-rays they assistant says OK....I'm going to take pictures of your teeth is that OK. Warner says "No anks (translates into thanks) mommy takes pictures of Warner and Warner goes cheese". The assistant looks at me and says "Well at least he is polite". What a kid! With that said he has great teeth with no cavities!! YEAH!

Great food, fun and family!

This last weekend Ryan, myself and Ryan's parents went to San Francisco for a well needed vacation. From the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Shopping, the Temple, great views and great weather it was a wonderful trip. It's a good thing we walked EVERY WHERE or we would be 10lbs. heavier. Thanks to my sister Kristie for watching our kids. Such a great time.

4 great years

It's hard to believe that 4 years has flown by. For awhile it seemed that I was never going to find Mr. right, and then wallla....it happened I met my best friend, and the rest is history. In four short years we have been on an amazing journey together. We have two beautiful children. We've lost parents and grandparents together. There isn't anyone I would have rather shared these experiences with. How would I have made it through any trial with out these shoulders to cry on, and believe me I cry a lot. This man is our families foundation. He keeps us all centered. I love you so much and look forward to many more years to come. Happy Anniversary Ryan!!

Happy Halloween

From our Dragon and Poodle Happy HaLlOwEen!!

First day of school?

This last week and part of next week Warner has been invited to go to preschool with his friend Kati. Her class is doing it for part of career days. It's pretty early in the morning for Warner, but once you tell him he's going to school he jumps out of bed and yells stories and snacks!! he has loved every minute of it. Thanks for letting him go Kati....you made his week!

Who is on their knees?

Abbi is seven months old and is looks like she's getting ready to crawl. This is just a new thing. She gets up there and rocks back and forth. She's even a girl after my own taste....she does a little yoga too! Up dog and down dog! You go girl!! Ok I just need an opinion....today while I was at Wal Mart the greeter was giving Warner a sticker and said when your little brother gets bigger he can have one to. I know she looks a lot like her dad, but for crying out loud look at the shirt and the cute girly shoes. She won't leave her hair bows in, but does she really look like a boy?

Toes are amazing!

My mom, sister and I have all been known for picking things up with our toes. When I'm pregnant I especially take advantage of these long toes to pick things up with. I think I could clean the entire house with my feet. Last night as I was reading Warner his book before bedtime he wanted to open the flaps on the pages. Before I knew it he had his little Piggy's out of the covers trying to open the flaps with them. I laughed so hard I was crying. Kids are amazing. They just pick up on the smallest little things in life.

Every year we head out to the pumpkin patch. This year we went with Grandma and Grandpa Roberts, and the Cowley girls. I just love this time of year. I love each season as they start approaching, but I especially love the fall. Maybe because it's my birthday month, so I've always felt that October belonged to me!! For those of you that know me know that I celebrate ALL MONTH LONG!! Although things have changed a little since kids are involved. I try to limit it to two weeks ;)

Our little princess

We just love this little girl. She is so EASY going. She only cries when she poops, hungry, or her hair bows cover her eys!! She makes the cutest little sounds. Rolls all over the place and is just a delight to our home!!
