Birthday Party number 2

Sophie also celebrated her birthday in Salina with her family here. After dinner we did presents before cake. We know what having cake does to a little girl ;) She loved her blow up pool the Waybrants gave her. She played in it for days with no water in it. Warner, Abbi, Syd and Sophie
Sophie along with the other kiddos excited to open the presents!

Denice made these cute tie dyed cupcakes and I added the pictures to top them off!

Sophie loved the cake once again. She was egged on my her peers to play peek a boo! Love it! We just adore you little Sophie and hope you had a happy birthday with many more to come! You've been such a blessing to our little family.

Birthday Party number 1

You can't be part of my family and not celebrate your birthday for a entire month, especially your first birthday! Sophie got to celebrate in Spanish Fork with her cousin Austin. They are exactly one week apart. I'm sure this won't be their last birthday celebration together! They were loving their little cup cakes!
Austin would hyperventilate just looking at the cake. He couldn't wait to get his hands on it!

They weren't sure about the candles.

Patiently waiting for the cake to begin. I know the pictures are out of order, but at least they are here!
They celebrated the day with grandpa, great grandma Hone, the Taylor's, and Jeannie. What a fabulous dinner and celebration! We love you Sophie and Austin! On a side note the Taylor's got Sophie to take her first steps this night. It was July 18th to be exact!

Why oh Why?

I'm documenting today as a reminder why not to leave the house and drive in the car with three kids for two hours straight for the second time in one week!! This morning I hear Warner in his room yelling "mom what are we doing today"? That's the question he asks almost each morning. He is my child and likes to be on the go. I had talked to my sister about going up to IKEA to look for some organizing shelves. So we hopped out of bed, got our chocolate milk, baths, and off we went. Usually the kids are pretty good. I mean for no TV and 2 hours of driving they do VERY good. Today was the exception. About at Mona Warner is crying that his belly is killing him. He usually does this when he wants a soda. I wasn't giving in and pulling over. Until we hit Payson and he was doubled over like he was in the world worst pain. I gave in and rushed all THREE kids to the gas station. Warner's stomach pains almost immediately went away....imagine that! As luck would have it Sophie just messed her pants. As I'm in the bathroom trying to change her pants Abbi starts crawling under the stalls. Sick, sick sick!!! Then I see Abbi come out of a stall and a lady follow her. As I try to apologize the lady won't even look my way, she is disgusted. I'm still trying to get Sophie changed as Abbi runs out of the bathroom. I send my four year old after her. As I get out side I hear Warner yelling "will you please get my sister for me"? OH MY where is she? She is in the Wendy's kitchen with the cooks. I could have died. I grab her by the arm and drag her out to the car pinching her arm the entire way. She is screaming OUCH the entire time, but I don't care....I've had it. I know....I'm a bad mom, but her arm is fine. I know the cashiers were worried about my children's well being as they came outside to "wash the window" while I load the kids back into the van. Honestly.....today is one of those days I should have stayed in bed. I always want to remember today...the next time Warner asks what are we doing today? I now know how to answer him!

Our first camping trip

This year we got a new trailer and hadn't had a chance to take it out. One weekend in July Ryan decided we should head up the canyon. We haven't been on a camping trip with just our family, so this was a first. Sydney decided at the last minute to join us. We did some fishing (well Ryan spent time baiting the lines) and playing in the water.
We got dirty and pouty

We went for a little hike until the mosquito's took over.

While the kids were pretend fishing Ryan and I read a book. It was a fun and relaxing family outing. We ended up driving to fish lake to eat lunch the next day. When we got back to camp the cows had taken over. They pooped every where. That was our sign to pack up and go back home. Thanks Ryan for the great idea and outing.
