Look who turned ONE!!

That's right....Sophie Lorraine is officially ONE! She's had several celebrations. Those blog post are yet to come. We just love our little Sophie Sue, ophie (as Abbi would say), or Sophapia. She is a delight to our home and family. We hope you had a happy birthday little one. We love you to the moon and back!

4th and final day

On the last day we went to the Oakland temple to walk around the grounds. We didn't get our camera out so I stole this from Lynzie's blog. It's the entire crew except Ty. We had such a great time and made some great memories. Thanks mom and dad for making it happen. We loved every minute of it!

Day 3 continued...

After the Muir Woods we headed to Sausalito for lunch. It was just a quaint little town by the water. It seems like anything by water is nice. Here's the family eating their lunch on the rocks. If your wondering what everyone is looking at.....Travis would throw bread to the seagulls right by your feet just so they would come up and get it. Oh it was making me so mad. He's watching and looking for his next victim!
Enjoying ice cream while we shopped and walked.
What would we do without Travis? Seriously...he fell in love with this hat when he saw it.
Lynzie was such a sport walking around 32 weeks pregnant. She even had the flu the first day we were there, but not a single complaint! Not sure if people in the bay area have ever seen a pregnant girl. She got so many looks and WOW's! Isn't she just cute pregnant! Not sure what Travis has going on?

Golden Gate. It was seriously so cold outside. I was wishing I had my Uggs and winter coat.

Day 3 "Muir Woods"

On the third day we drove out to the Muir Woods....redwood forests. These aren't even the biggest redwoods and they were huge. I can't imagine the ones in Northern Cali. Ryan served his mission up north and said they were huge. There was one that they drove their suburban through. My dad and I
Part of the Roberts clan on our little hike through the redwoods.

I always thought Ryan had huge long arms until he tried stretching them around this tree.

Chuck demonstrating his num- chuck skills!

We could live as Shrek and Fiona in this tree!

Day 2 a Walking we must go!

After Alcatraz we hit Pier 39 for some clam chowder and to check things out. Ryan sporting Forests shoes. For as big as the feet are Ryan's foot filled them! After Pier 39 we headed to Giradilli Square and then TRIED to catch a trolley to get to Lumbar street (the crookedest street). We ended up splitting up the group to get there. The trolly's were just to full to put all 12 of us on. Here's my pop's and I at Lombard street.
This was back Fisherman's Wharf. The last time we went Peggy and I got some way cute purses in the "back" room of this store. Peggy saw the SALE sign and she was off! To bad we couldn't find a cute knock off purse this time.

At the top of Lombard street we ended up running into Lynzie and Travis. Here we are waiting AGAIN for a trolley. Never caught one, but we grabbed a taxi. It was the best six dollars we spent the entire trip!

Poor Joe broke in his new Shape Ups this trip. I can't imagine how he felt. My feet were killing with shoes that were already broke in. Apparently Shape Ups are like walking in sand. I tried going for a run in sand once and made it about 5 mins. Can't imagine how Joe was feeling. He still has a smile on his face right here, but by the end of our 10 hour day he wasn't smiling!

Day 2 a Walking we must go!

Day 2 we started out early with a trip to Alcatraz. We walked and we walked and we walked. Here are pictures most of the troop on the ride over to Alcatraz and walking around. It was my third time being there so it wasn't as exciting for me to see it, but I think it's a must see if you've never been there. The Roberts were once again so nice to invite my dad to come along. They always make him feel like family and I appreciate it so much.
The ride over to Alcatraz. It's crazy how these prisoners lived. It would be fun to live on a little island, just not as a prisoner!

A "WICKED" Christmas in July

For Christmas this last year Ryan's parents gave us a trip to San Francisco. We cashed in on the deal in July. It still felt like Christmas with the temperature being only 65 degrees with a breeze. We are so use to the 100's it seriously felt like Christmas! This is the first day there. Ryan and I on the subway to see Wicked. This was my most favorite part of the trip. I've seen it before, but would see it again and again. I love this man. So glad we got to spend time away together just the two of us.....oh and all the other Roberts couples!
Walking around waiting for WICKED!

And finally we were there! What a great night it was. If you haven't seen it I highly suggest it!

Last of the 4th

One of Salina's highlights of the 4th is the grease poles. They have three poles loaded with Crisco and money. You get a team together and try climbing the pole grabbing whatever money you come across. My nephew Landon just had to get in the action. So he went and found a team to be on. He was the lucky guy to be the base. What a sport! Landon showing off his earnings. Two greasy dollars, greasy shorts and shirt. Oh, don't forget the achy back from everyone climbing on it. What a trooper he is. We loved watching him helping is team!

4th of July

The 4th of July never disappoints in Salina. This year not only did my family come down my cousin and his family came down. We were so glad to add the McMullins to our festivities this year. We started out the day by running Salina's first fun run. The parents did the 5k and Ryan took the kiddos on the one mile run. It was a great day to start the day! After the run we had breakfast in the park and then ran home for a quick clean up! Then it was off to the games at the park. Warner trying to catch a fish! We actually came home with three gold fish this year. Last years fish lived 8 months. This year we managed to kill all three within a week.
A new event added to the festivities was horse shoes. Ryan was trying really hard to get on the board, but no luck.

Poor Abbi was so sick this year. We actually ended up in the emergency room that night and they ended up keeping her over night. She ended up having giardia. That's right! I earned mother of the year award, but hooking up the slip and slide to irrigation water. Lesson learned.....expensive lesson.

Lilly and Jade sporting their tattoo's on the face. What a wonderful day we had! Thanks again McMullins for coming to be a part of it.

Stuff

Abbi is such a pack rat. She takes after her dad. From what we understand when Ryan was little he packed all his toys everywhere with him. He always had something in his hands. That is Abbi to a "T". This is how I found her the other night when I went to check on her. Hat on her head, doll by her side and her Dora movie in her hand. Sometimes you will find her with her shoes on too!. She cracks me up. It's so hard to get out the door at times because she has to gather all her "stuff" to take with her. This is just one of the many things I love about this girl.

Family Pictures

Last month we were able to get our family pictures done by the amazing photographer Jonathan Canlas http://www.canlasphotography.blogspot.com/ . It was for the benefit for Sarah www.canlasphotography.blogspot.com/2010/03/time-to-give-back-help-me-help-them.html my cousin. You can still donate to the cause here http://www.hopeforsarah.blogspot.com/. I'm so glad we were able to do this. So happy with how they turned out. Now to make the decision of which ones to order!! If anyone wants to help me learn how to add these links as a word I would love it! I've tried and tried :(

Wasatch Back 2010

This year Ryan decided we needed to try running Utah's Ragnar race the Wasatch Back. So we sent out a message and instantly had 12 people interested. We had our team and we were ready to go. Most of these pictures are of those of us in van #2. We had a BALL!!! Van #1 was loaded with our California friends and some Utahan's. Our team was #815 so for all you Lost fans we decorated our van as the Oceanic Flight 815. Van #1 were the OTHERS. It was so much fun. All you do is run, eat, rest, repeat. Thank goodness for our driver Matt "aka" Frankie we were able to rest. Well except those of us who preferred to spend our rest time in the Honey Bucket (out house). We had so much fun we will be doing Las Vegas Ragnar in October.
Thanks to Stacia for taking little Sophie, and Denice for taking Warner and Abbi. Without you we wouldn't have been able to do this. Thanks a million!!

Good Friends

My good friend Lisa got married. I'm glad that I got to be a part of it. We have been friends for ages it feels like.....15 years is ages right? Left to right..Me, Lisa, Rondi, and Lorlie. Such good friends. Wish I got to see them more often. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful bride!
