As much as they drove me crazy while Ryan was gone, I sure do love these little kids.

Results from the hunt

This is a warning...if you don't like looking at dead animals don't continue looking!! This year Ryan drew out on a pretty privileged elk hunt on the convented Fillmore Pahvant range. He was so excited. He's spent about the last three to four months looking for the perfect elk. He had SOOOOO much help that he is so grateful for. Between his dad, my dad, brother Ty, new found friends Jamin, Duke, Kade the list goes on and on helped to make his hunt successful. This isn't the exact elk that he wanted, but it was a pretty one. It's about a 360 whatever that means. All I know is the sucker was HUGE!!! We are so glad that he had so much fun and is finally home. Jamin and Ryan after he shot his elk!
The family minus Abbi at the taxidermy. I was so sicked out by the floor I wouldn't let Warner walk on it cause he didn't have shoes on. Plus I had to tuck my pants into my shoes to make sure there was no trace of blood on them ;)

Ryan and his dad admiring the elk

We went up the opening weekend to just hang out. Here's Abbi just enjoying her freedom in the great outdoors.

Warner and his pet lizard that slowly made his way out of the cup onto the table. Boys!!

The hooded towel

Lately I have been thinking about my mom and all the things that she would love about my children if she were still here. Sometimes I feel cheated that my kids will never get to know her, at least the time they have here on earth. Whenever I had a friend that was having a baby my mom would make me a hooded towel to give them. Most of my friends have gotten them. I was lucky enough that she had made a extra one so when I had Warner there was one just for him. When I found out I was having a girl and didn't have a towel for her I was so sad. Some may think that is silly, but if you knew my mom she LOVED making these towels and put a lot of love into them. I've seen them made before, but of course just not how my mom made them. Anyway.....when I had Abbi one of my friends sent me the greatest gift. The towel that my mom made her little girl over 6 years ago. It's a little haggard and used, but it was made with love! We use it almost every day and I love it. Abbi doesn't say much, but I think she knows the love that is wrapped around her every morning!

What patience I have

Abbi is so good to let Warner play with her. It was so cute when he wanted her to wear his "eyes". I can only imagine how much fun they will have together when she can actually run around and chase him!
