Doctors, Doctors, and more Doctors

This last month has been CRAZY for the Roberts family. We have spent the majority of our time in the Dr.'s office. It all started when I found out I was pregnant. My Dr. is a great Dr. very thorough. Recently he found some lumps in my breast, so just to be sure I had to see a specialist to make sure all is well....thank goodness all is well, but what a worry it was. Now we are working on my heart. Apparently my heart beats a extra beat. I started feeling it after I had Abbi, but it went away until I found out I was prego. I've seen the cardiologist and he believes all is well. They will do a ultra sound of my heart to make sure, but he sees no need to worry. Then this week we heard the babies heart beat again. What a reward that was after all the worry we have had. During all this we ALL got a bad cold. Apparently Warner had an allergic reaction to the virus and this is what he looked like. Poor little guy had hives EVERY WHERE. At one point the only white you could see were the whites of his eyes. He called them his itchies and would ask me to take them off. It broke my heart. Then just as we thought we were on the mend......Abbi gets ROTAVIRUS. What the heck. Why do my kids get the rotavirus? Warner had it and it was a horrible experience for us. It last well over three months and he was hospitalized at Primary's. We are hoping she is on the downhill side as her diarrhea has tapered off today and she hasn't thrown up once!!!

So if you have wondered where we have been???????? The Doctors! All in all we are grateful that nothing has ended up being to serious and we are all on the mend.
Just a note.....he looks pretty good in the picture.

YIKES! I have nothing to complain about now. Sorry about all your trauma. Glad things have been getting better. Went thru rotovirus once with Carter as a baby and Nicklaus last year. It's HORRID! Never had to be hospitalized, luckily, but I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Not sure why some kids get it. I'm a germ-a-phob and we still get everything. Ugh.

Dang Charlyn, I really wondered what your comment about Dr's visits meant, but I couldn't have imagined all that. I am so glad to hear it is all getting better. When it rains it pours! I hope you will be Dr free for a long time (except for that baby check-up of course).

I heard he was pretty bad. I think it is yours and Ryans genes, with both of your allergies and all, poor kid :) I am glad everything went well at the doctors...

That is horrible. There is nothing worse than dealing with DR's. Hopfully your all on the mend and won't need to see any more doctors for quite awhile.
