Look who turned TWO!

On March 21st Abbi turned two years old. Can she really be two? Seems just like yesterday she was born. For her birthday we had family over for a hamburger fry. Abbi got lots of presents from her Grandma and Grandpa Roberts she got dress up clothes (which she is loving them), she got money from her Grandpa Warner, clothes from great Grandma Hone and Aunt Jeannie. Shopping cart full of groceries, Elmo doll, tinker bell toy and so much more. She was spoiled. As you can see she adores Elmo. I put my cake decorating skills to the test and this is what I came up with. It was fun and she loved it!
Check her out in one of her new dress up outfits. She is such a hoot! We love this little girl.

I just want to remember a few things about Abbi at this age:
  • She loves to watch Doo (scooby doo)
  • Abbi loves playing house with her brother and cousin Syd.
  • Her favorite word is YEP!
  • She is ultra sensitive and I love it.
  • She points her finger and stomps her foot when she's mad. (pretty sure we know where she gets that)
  • She is starting to talk so much and actually make sense.
  • When you say it's time to eat, Abbi's the first one at the table.
  • She likes to go potty on the toilet and when she's finished she says good job! If she catches anyone else on the toilet she tells them good job too!

    We love you Abbi Rae!!

13.1

That's right 13.1 and I couldn't be more proud. On Saturday Ryan, Myself, my sister Kristie and Friend Ashlie ran the Moab half marathon. Ryan gets us going on these things! This is my first half marathon since I've been married, so that makes it over 5 years. I was so nervous, but felt more prepared than when I ran it the first time. While training for this run Ryan gave me the idea to dedicate each mile to someone or something and think about that person or thing while running that mile. The first two miles I ran with Kristie and we talked about our kids and giving birth to them. After that I couldn't keep Kristie's pace, so I let her run ahead. I kept going with this little game for awhile. About mile nine my knee was giving me so much grief. I didn't want to give up with the big hill approaching me!! So I ran up the hill and then ended up walking the last three miles. I was bummed that I couldn't finish strong, but I was glad that I finished. It was so enjoyable getting to reflect on so many different things. I dedicated the last 13.1 mile to my mom. She always believed that I could do hard things, and she endured many hard things, so I gave her that mile. Needless to say I cried myself to the finish line partly because I was in pain, and mostly because I thought about my mom. Thanks Ryan for planning and organizing and keeping me motivated. I'm looking forward to our next big run together! It's been fun making this part of our lives.

Cousin LOVE!

This is Abbi's cousin Easton. I stole these pictures from my sister in law's blog. They were just to cute. We met up in Salt Lake for dinner and when Abbi and Easton saw each other they embraced each other with a hug. Then they held hands as they walked to the table. So cute!

Markers?

Abbi is so proud of her master piece. I'm wondering if we give up marker time for something else???

Nascar

Our friends Mindi and Earl at the Nascar races. Usually it's a guy thing, but this year they let the wives come along! Thanks for the good time guys!
Ryan and I at the Busch series races on Sat. It was FREEZING for Vegas.
Trying to stay warm

For being such a guy thing I really enjoyed myself. The loud cars, crashes and all the excitement around us was just so much fun!! (check our the old spice car...that's Ryan's driver)
I always love this part of any event!!

My super cross man!!

Every year Ryan heads south to the Nascar races with his buddies. This year a couple of them couldn't go so the wives got to tag along. On the way they stop and ride their bikes in St. George. Ryan and Earl getting ready to show us their stuff. I wanted to take a few pictures of them riding before we headed off to go shopping.
That's right this is my man!!!!

Earl showing us all he's got!! I thought we would get to see some major jumps, but they saved that for after we left. So this is the only jump picture I got!!
