Our kids

Sophie decided in March to get up on her knees and start rocking back and forth. She would fall into a army crawl, but after a couple weeks of the army crawl she took off crawling at full speed. Could someone please stop time and let her just be little forever! Warner has gotten such a personality. He seems to be growing more and more into a character each day. I love when you tease him he'll put his hands up to his face and just tell me no, no, no.
Abbi...need I say more! This girl is a girl at heart and a tom boy in the making! She just cracks me right up! She loves wearing "Arner's" boots. And isn't her top so stinking cute! Her grandma made it for her. You just wait till we get a picture of her with the hat. Yum!

St. Patty's day

Over the week of St. Patricks day we were able to have our cousin Syd come and stay with us. The kids loved every minute of it. They especially loved getting their new sandbox. We have planned on building them one for a couple of years now. When I found this one I figured it would do the job! Here's Warner sporting his green and playing away in his sand box. It was a pretty chilly day, but it didn't stop them!Syd on St. Patricks day. This is as good as it got.....green eggs and milk.
Abbi sporting her green and loving the sand box.

Syd and Warner after a week of hard playing. It's tough to be a kid!

Look who turned TWO!

On March 21st Abbi turned two years old. Can she really be two? Seems just like yesterday she was born. For her birthday we had family over for a hamburger fry. Abbi got lots of presents from her Grandma and Grandpa Roberts she got dress up clothes (which she is loving them), she got money from her Grandpa Warner, clothes from great Grandma Hone and Aunt Jeannie. Shopping cart full of groceries, Elmo doll, tinker bell toy and so much more. She was spoiled. As you can see she adores Elmo. I put my cake decorating skills to the test and this is what I came up with. It was fun and she loved it!
Check her out in one of her new dress up outfits. She is such a hoot! We love this little girl.

I just want to remember a few things about Abbi at this age:
  • She loves to watch Doo (scooby doo)
  • Abbi loves playing house with her brother and cousin Syd.
  • Her favorite word is YEP!
  • She is ultra sensitive and I love it.
  • She points her finger and stomps her foot when she's mad. (pretty sure we know where she gets that)
  • She is starting to talk so much and actually make sense.
  • When you say it's time to eat, Abbi's the first one at the table.
  • She likes to go potty on the toilet and when she's finished she says good job! If she catches anyone else on the toilet she tells them good job too!

    We love you Abbi Rae!!

13.1

That's right 13.1 and I couldn't be more proud. On Saturday Ryan, Myself, my sister Kristie and Friend Ashlie ran the Moab half marathon. Ryan gets us going on these things! This is my first half marathon since I've been married, so that makes it over 5 years. I was so nervous, but felt more prepared than when I ran it the first time. While training for this run Ryan gave me the idea to dedicate each mile to someone or something and think about that person or thing while running that mile. The first two miles I ran with Kristie and we talked about our kids and giving birth to them. After that I couldn't keep Kristie's pace, so I let her run ahead. I kept going with this little game for awhile. About mile nine my knee was giving me so much grief. I didn't want to give up with the big hill approaching me!! So I ran up the hill and then ended up walking the last three miles. I was bummed that I couldn't finish strong, but I was glad that I finished. It was so enjoyable getting to reflect on so many different things. I dedicated the last 13.1 mile to my mom. She always believed that I could do hard things, and she endured many hard things, so I gave her that mile. Needless to say I cried myself to the finish line partly because I was in pain, and mostly because I thought about my mom. Thanks Ryan for planning and organizing and keeping me motivated. I'm looking forward to our next big run together! It's been fun making this part of our lives.

Cousin LOVE!

This is Abbi's cousin Easton. I stole these pictures from my sister in law's blog. They were just to cute. We met up in Salt Lake for dinner and when Abbi and Easton saw each other they embraced each other with a hug. Then they held hands as they walked to the table. So cute!

Markers?

Abbi is so proud of her master piece. I'm wondering if we give up marker time for something else???

Nascar

Our friends Mindi and Earl at the Nascar races. Usually it's a guy thing, but this year they let the wives come along! Thanks for the good time guys!
Ryan and I at the Busch series races on Sat. It was FREEZING for Vegas.
Trying to stay warm

For being such a guy thing I really enjoyed myself. The loud cars, crashes and all the excitement around us was just so much fun!! (check our the old spice car...that's Ryan's driver)
I always love this part of any event!!

My super cross man!!

Every year Ryan heads south to the Nascar races with his buddies. This year a couple of them couldn't go so the wives got to tag along. On the way they stop and ride their bikes in St. George. Ryan and Earl getting ready to show us their stuff. I wanted to take a few pictures of them riding before we headed off to go shopping.
That's right this is my man!!!!

Earl showing us all he's got!! I thought we would get to see some major jumps, but they saved that for after we left. So this is the only jump picture I got!!

Abbi loves to color her buzz light year! We had our cousin Easton over for a few days and did a lot of coloring and eating cookies! Check out Abbi's chin! She thought the markers were pretty tasty!
Cookie time!!! Abbi loves her cousin Easton. This cute little fellow was a little sick when we got him. He wanted his mom and dad really bad. The entire time he was here he would cry for them and tell us it was Easton's fault his mom and dad left him. It broke our hearts and cracked us right up at the same time. We want him to come again so we can show him a good time when he's feeling better!!

February in a nut shell!!

For February being such a short month, it's usually the longest month for me. But oh my how this year proved me wrong. It flew right on by!! In February Sophie finally mastered getting more food in her mouth instead of on her face!!
We spent lots of time out in the hot tub!! Syd spent the night and in the morning Ryan took them all out to warm up!

Abbi ready to get in the "cuzzi" as they call it!

Ryan celebrated his 36th birthday. I know there just isn't quite enough candles on the cake!! But you get what you get and you don't throw a fit...

I remember my mom leaving Valentines for us on the front porch and then running. I couldn't wait to do it for my kids, so first thing in the morning the doorbell was a ringing!! The kids loved it even though the chocolate tasted like wax!!

Look who came to the big town!!

Meet Austin my little sis' baby! He's our little chunky monkey! Jeannie and Austin came to help celebrate Ryan's birthday! We love this little big boy!

January Happenings

With January now behind us lets not forget a few of the things we did to get us through this cold month!! Warner and Abbi LOVE LOVE LOVE their baby sister. They would hate to leave her out of anything they did! So hey, why not build your Thomas the train track to go over the top of Sophie. It was a perfect idea and they all had a ball!! Sophie would just watch the train go back and forth over the top of her. Clever idea Warner and Abbi!!
Enjoying a family home evening with our cousin Syd. Can't quite remember what we talked about, but I remember the kids made their own white dove out of paper sacks. They love having Family Home Evening. Especially when Syd joins us!!

We made lots of cookies. This isn't just a January thing. You see Warner and I make it just for the cookie dough. The cookies are just an excuse!!

Sophie just enjoying the family in her bumbo! Poor girl has super dry skin.

We love the washable water colors. This is something the kids ask to do almost every day. It's a perfect activity while we wait for the sun to come out. Good bye January, hello February!

One more January Happenings!

One thing we did the month of January.....play dates with Lexi And Kaydence. Warner loves having all these girls around him!! We just put the blanket on the ground open the lunch box with all the sandwiches and have ourselves a picnic!!
